Overview
Software Engineering & Development-Workstream Lead (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Princeton, NJ) is a hands-on senior-level role for State Street platforms and partners. You will partner with senior development managers, architects and business leadership to develop and execute the technology product roadmap. The role involves collaboration with leadership and peers across the Business Unit CIO organization, Global Technology Services (GTS) and the Corporate Finance functional domain.
You will work on key Regulatory Reporting initiatives and should have sound technical expertise in the Reg Reporting domain, with Axiom experience, and a technical skillset in PL/SQL, Java/J2EE, Python/Powershell, PERL/Shell scripting; and experience with agile processes. The role requires competence in all aspects of the SDLC, working with global teams, and the ability to take lead responsibility for project execution.
The incumbent will be hands-on and will work with cross-functional teams to implement and deliver key Finance and Treasury initiatives.
- Act as a delivery manager and subject matter expert on Reg Reporting applications and functions, providing techno-functional leadership to the delivery team.
- Lead requirements gathering and market research to develop industry-leading technology roadmaps with an aligned multi-year investment portfolio.
- Lead projects and programs to support technology delivery aligned to business strategy.
- Articulate the impact and importance of regulations, timing, and other factors specific to the Reg Reporting domain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions tie to business value realization.
- Provide expert guidance and critical analysis during design reviews and product demos, focusing on simplicity of design and function.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams across a global footprint.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field plus 10 years of software development experience. Total experience must include at least 5 years of financial services industry experience.
- Demonstrated solid technical expertise in the Reg Reporting domain, with Axiom experience.
- Proven technical skills in PL/SQL, Java/J2EE, Python/Powershell, PERL/Shell scripting.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile team environment.
- Proven competency in all aspects of the SDLC and ability to lead projects with global teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong finance technology insight and ability to work across business lines.

Salary Range: $153,005 - $225,000 Annual. This range applies to the role in the primary location. If the candidate would work outside the primary location, the applicable range could differ.
