Role::
Pega Lead Developer
Location::
St. Paul, MN (Hybrid)
Rate:: $65/hr on C2C.
Who are we looking for?
Lead Pega Developer with strong tech and communication skills.
Experience:
8 12+ years of IT experience with 6+ years of hands-on experience in Pega application development.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in Pega Platform (latest Infinity version)
- Pega CSSA certification in the latest Infinity version is mandatory.
- Pega CLSA Part 1 certification is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade Pega applications.
- Experience leading development teams, mentoring developers, and conducting code reviews.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using Tracer, Clipboard, Live UI, PAL, DB Trace, and PDC (Pega Diagnostic Center) s.
- Excellent understanding of Pega guardrails and best development practices.
Technical Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Pega Connectors and Services (REST/SOAP)
- Report Definitions, Subreports, Joins, and Report Optimization
- Database Indexing and Declarative Indexes
- Decision Rules (Decision Tables, Trees, When Rules, Decision Strategies)
- Queue Processors and Job Schedulers
- Skill-Based Routing
- Push Routing and Pull Routing
- Data Pages and Data Transforms
- Case Management and Case Life Cycle Design
- Integration patterns and asynchronous processing
- Security, Access Groups, Roles, and Privileges
- Performance tuning and application optimization
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Pega solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs following Pega best practices.
- Guide and mentor team members on architecture, design, and development standards.
- Review code and ensure adherence to Pega guardrails and coding standards.
- Identify and resolve application issues using Tracer, PDC s, PAL, and other diagnostic tools.
- Design applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
- Optimize reports, database interactions, and integrations for improved application performance.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security guidelines, and deployment processes.
- Participate in estimation, sprint planning, technical discussions, and production support activities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices for Pega.
- Knowledge of deployment manager and branch-based development.
- Exposure to cloud deployments and containerized environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
