Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the direct driver management and supervision of a midsize driver count, ensuring safe and timely service movement of freight, load assignment, and providing best‑in‑class customer service. It ensures compliance with DOT regulations and company rules while coordinating with internal and external contacts to plan, route, monitor, and deliver freight effectively. The incumbent must be able to work any shift to meet the company’s flexible scheduling needs, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
Shift- Must be flexible (nights or days) Sunday through Thursday
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
- Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects related to optimizing fleet operations and profitability.
- Utilize personnel management, training, and orientation of drivers and employees, including internal and third‑party systems.
- Conduct analysis of fleet operations and profitability, recommend continuous improvement, define and measure KPIs, and create, maintain, and present customer‑specific reporting and financial analysis through face‑to‑face and/or virtual interactions.
- Manage inventory, assets, and customer pools, and assign drivers to balance equipment in the market.
- Perform administrative duties such as payroll, driver counseling, accident reviews, filing, pay issue resolution, invoicing, and creating operational or financial reports.
- Manage the yard, check and inspect equipment, replace parts, complete repairs, and coordinate with maintenance to schedule regular preventive maintenance and address safety‑related mechanical issues.
- Work with drivers, customers, and company personnel to resolve service issues, routing, mechanical problems, accessorial pay issues, etc., during the day and when on call.
- Maintain a strong safety culture with daily safety messages, monthly briefings, quarterly training, annual reviews, and enforcement of DOT compliance and company safety policies.
- Assign loads, plan, route, and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on‑time service, manage exceptions, and adjust driver ETA based on pickup and delivery schedules and road conditions.
High School Diploma or GED and 2–3 years of experience in Transportation and Logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience. Must be able to work multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.

Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Transportation and Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field and 1–2 years of experience in the relevant area.
CompensationStarting pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. The role may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives tied to profitability or volume, per company plans.

EducationBachelor’s in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, or Transportation and Logistics; GED or High School required.
