Primary Purpose Under moderate supervision organize and manage the Special Programs files, ARD scheduling and provide clerical support to a director or department head and other sta? members.
QualificationsEducation/Certification
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
Pro?cient skills in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and electronic ?le maintenance
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
Ability to prioritize work?ow to address the multiple needs of the supervisor or the department
Ability to multi-task numerous complex administrative activities
Basic math skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
2 years secretarial experience and/or experience in Special Education (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and DutiesRecords, Reports, and Correspondence
- Prepare correspondence, forms and reports for the department head and other department sta?
- Compile, maintain, and ?le all reports, records, and other documents electronically as
- Compile and crosscheck reports in Infinite Campus, X-LOGS and Frontline
- Maintain inventory of o?ce supplies and program
- Schedules or assists, ARD meetings and notifies parents of ARD meeting, including distribution of ARD calendar to appropriate ARD member(s).
- Answer and respond to incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate sta?.
- Maintain the ARD schedule for all campuses including, but not limited to, initial or rescheduled ARD meetings or other meetings.
- Make meeting arrangements for department activities including preparing materials, schedule and setting up facilities, and arranging equipment (as needed).
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to department
