Role Summary

The Vice President, Business Development & Portfolio Planning will play a critical leadership role in shaping Uro Gen’s long‑term growth strategy by integrating business development, corporate strategy, and portfolio planning into a cohesive, enterprise‑wide perspective. This role partners closely with the SVP, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team to ensure that the company’s products, pipeline, and external partnerships are aligned with unmet medical needs and evolving market dynamics.

Reporting directly to the SVP, this position combines high‑impact individual contribution with indirect leadership of cross‑functional teams. The Vice President will drive rigorous strategic analysis, support informed decision‑making at the senior leadership level, and help maximize the effectiveness and focus of the broader strategy and business development organization.

Job Requirements
  • MBA and/or advanced degree in Life Sciences or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, with demonstrated success in corporate strategy, portfolio strategy, and/or business development.
  • Experience with alliance management, licensing transactions, and M&A strongly preferred.
  • Proven strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Entrepreneurial, "startup‑minded" leader with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and resilience in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong influencing skills and a track record of driving alignment and positive change across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility with internal stakeholders and external scientific and business partners.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience supporting executive‑level decision‑making.
Job Responsibilities Corporate & Enterprise Strategy
  • Partner with the CEO, SVP, and Executive Leadership Team to develop, refine, and operationalize Uro Gen’s corporate strategy and long‑range growth plan.
  • Lead the evolution of the strategic planning and goal‑setting process to ensure alignment with the enterprise strategy.
  • Develop a clear and compelling external articulation of Uro Gen’s long‑term strategic vision for investors and potential partners (e.g., Vision 2030).
Business Development & Alliance Management
  • Support and, as appropriate, lead business development initiatives across the full deal lifecycle, including opportunity identification, partner outreach, diligence, market assessment, and financial modeling.
  • Support negotiation and execution of licensing, partnership, and collaboration agreements.
  • Serve as the primary owner of alliance management for current and future partnerships, ensuring effective governance, value capture, and cross‑functional coordination.
Portfolio Strategy & Lifecycle Planning
  • Lead the development and ongoing management of portfolio lifecycle strategies, ensuring clear accountability and alignment across functions.
  • Partner closely with clinical, medical, commercial, and other cross‑functional teams to drive portfolio prioritization and medium‑ to long‑term growth planning.
  • Conduct strategic trade‑off and scenario analyses, including optimization of flagship brands as products evolve or transition to new formulations.
Execution & Program Leadership
  • Provide project leadership for executed collaborations, including oversight of diligence processes, data rooms, and partner communications.
  • Ensure consistency, rigor, and transparency in strategic, portfolio, and business development deliverables provided to senior leadership.
