Angels of Care currently has opportunities for part-time or full-time certified Bilingual Speech‑Language Pathologists (SLP).
Pay Range$52,200 - $156,000 + $1,000 Sign On Bonus
Position SummaryA certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing and/or social/emotional disabilities and delays by planning and administering speech therapy services in the home and community.
Qualifications- ASHA certification
- Texas State SLP License
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred;
Feeding experience preferred
- Provide high quality care and meet the needs of the patient and family by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results; develop goals appropriate to child; create and implement speech therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
- Assist pediatric patients to develop or regain cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing and/or social/emotional functioning and improve their level of independence by implementing skilled interventions to maximize the potential of each individual child.
- Participate in educating, coaching, and empowering caregivers and families to develop skills to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine.
- Coordinate with referral partners to provide services for children in accordance with the physician order.
- Ensure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs.
- Document patient care services and care coordination in an intuitive electronic medical record system.
- Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential.
