Furniture repair Technician

1099 On demand / Part Time / Independent Contractor. Work at the shop and dispatch with company van to assignments in the Dallas Metro area.

Furniture Medic by TX‑Com is looking for a self‑motivated individual to perform restoration on all types of furniture and cabinetry. The role requires on‑site visits to both residential and commercial customers, including insurance claim inspections. We specialize in providing restoration services for the insurance industry. We are a family‑friendly small business that values work‑life balance.

• Perform all services assigned carefully, promptly, and efficiently.
• Represent our company so that the Furniture Medic image is always enhanced in the eyes of customers and insurance partners.
• Show willingness to learn: develop and maintain production skills, attend training sessions as required.
• Contribute to the improvement of Furniture Medic in areas related to production, sales, and supervision.
• Communicate with management any issues or malfunctions with equipment or product.
• Maintain a positive attitude while resolving production, mechanical, and scheduling difficulties.

• Thorough knowledge of furniture restoration, including vintage furniture, touch‑up, cabinet construction, and finishing processes.
• Proficiency in setting up and using all common woodworking tools (table saw, router, miter saw, drill press, planer, etc.).
• Proficiency with color matching and spray equipment is desired.
• Experience with counter top bracing and cabinet installation is desired.
• Paid training provided.
• No age restrictions; seniors over 50 are welcome to apply with the right skills and work attitude.
• Flexible scheduling.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Cell phone that can be used for work purposes.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs without restrictions.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour
