The Maintenance Technician - BTR works to complete maintenance and groundskeeping tasks as deemed necessary by their supervisor. Responsibilities include completing daily work orders, preventive maintenance, groundskeeping, trash removal, and equipment repair.
What You Will DoMaintenance and Safety:
- Complete work orders for residential units and common areas as needed
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing to prevent water damage and restore full use
- Knowledge of painting and drywall repair
- Adhere to preventive maintenance programs for the building as required
- Identify and repair potential safety hazards
- Adhere to the company safety policies and safety measures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Other:
- Must be able to work a full shift / required work schedule
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis
- Must be available for additional hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary
- Must be available to assist with move-outs, turn, and move-ins beyond normal full-time hours
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, including bending and lifting throughout the workday
- High School or equivalent education preferred
- 3+ years of maintenance experience
- Basic understanding of MEP systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods and processes
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Be a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or able to attain within the first 3 months of employment
- The ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Must be able to work in environmentally and physically challenging conditions
- Must be able to demonstrate safe work practices and proper use of PPE
- Must have a valid driver’s license, valid insurance, and reliable transportation
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Experience with Entrata
