Job Summary
- Concord University is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of the University's faculty, staff, student, and related payroll operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations. The Payroll Manager supervises and coordinates all payroll functions, including wage payments, tax reporting, reconciliations, payroll accounting, and year-end processing.
The position works closely with Human Resources, Finance, Academic Affairs, and other campus departments to ensure accurate employee compensation and reporting. This role also assists the Controller with payroll reconciliations, internal controls, audits, and continuous process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duty/Responsibility
- Processing Biweekly Payroll with wvOASISHRM for 300-400 employees. Includes processing stipends, overload pay, summer school pay, and timecard entries. Calculate Annual and Faculty payouts for departing employees Follow guidance issued by the WV State Auditor's Office and State Budget Office regarding transactions. Monitor and sign off on payroll using the UKGPro timekeeping system. Address any annual leave or sick leave accrual issues inside the Kronos system.
