Nature of Work
Under limited supervision, this position performs advanced administrative and professional work in support of the Transforming Maternal Health (TMaH) Grant within the Bureau. Reporting to the Director of Professional Services for BMS, this role is responsible for the statewide oversight and administration of the TMaH Grant in West Virginia.
The TMaH Director is responsible for planning, developing, and managing all aspects of the TMaH Grant. This includes ensuring full compliance with the TMaH Operational Protocol and Terms and Conditions, as well as assuring that the State meets all CMS reporting requirements. The position is also responsible for ensuring adherence to all State and Federal fiscal requirements and for overseeing the development and submission of the annual TMaH budget.
Key responsibilities include providing oversight and direction for contractors engaged in TMaH‑related initiatives and supervising TMaH program staff. The Director develops and maintains TMaH procedures and processes and leads the creation and implementation of an effective Quality Management System (QMS) for the TMaH Program.
The position facilitates collaboration with other State agencies, advocates, providers, and additional stakeholders to support successful program implementation. Additional duties include developing and maintaining program documentation, ensuring operational consistency, and performing other related tasks as assigned.
Job Location:
Kanawha County
Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of education.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
OR
Substitution: Graduate course work from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for one (1) year of experience.
