The Lead Transporter assists in the supervision of Central Transport Service personnel. This position will ensure that all transportation duties and responsibilities are carried out in a prompt and courteous manner. This position will strive to maximize patient, family, physician and staff satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications Education, Certification, and/or Licensure- High school graduate
- CPR certification
- Six months demonstrated leadership experience
- Proficiency in computer skills required
- Assist with managing all transport service employees regarding employment, performance rating, vacation, scheduling and termination
- Assist in supervising accurate ongoing collaborative planning for the Tele-Tracking System
- Assists the Transport Supervisor in retrieving reports, preparing monthly statistics
- Participates in identifying issues, resolving problems, provides independent follow-up, investigate incidents
- Transports patients throughout hospital as needed
- Cognizant of environmental factors, infection control issues and maintains a safe environment.
- Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital.
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.
- Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and perform under pressure.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills and independent judgment.

40 hours per week.
