The Director of Women’s Care is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing and patient care departments within a 24/7 hospital setting. The role involves leadership, regulatory compliance, and ensuring high-quality patient care across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct the overall operations of Nursing/Patient Care Areas.
- Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain performance improvement activities and participate in CQI initiatives.
- Oversee staffing, staffing schedules, and staff competency to ensure consistent high-quality care.
- Assist in developing and managing the departmental budget while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and meet departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active RN license and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- Possess at least 5 years of RN experience with 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Maintain current certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC (preferred).
- Demonstrate leadership skills, organizational ability, and knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Ability to manage staff, budgets, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
