• Be a first point of connection for clients by managing a high volume of phone calls and text messages with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
• Communicate diagnostic information by accurately reporting laboratory test results to clients
• Practice thoughtful, efficient communication by recognizing the right moments to briefly interrupt veterinarians or technicians to gather information clients are waiting for
• Support smooth daily operations by managing surgery and appointment document workflows
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Ensure safe, low‑stress handling of animals during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Assist the medical team with diagnostic radiographs, venipuncture, and other technical tasks

• Warm, professional communication style with a cheerful presence by phone and text
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
• Ability to paraphrase and translate medical information into clear, relatable updates for clients
• Experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology, animal physiology and safe handling techniques (training provided)
• Core strengths that matter here: compassion, empathy, attention to detail, positivity, organization, curiosity, and a teachable mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑centered environment and stay steady during emergencies, emotional situations and the unpredictability of animals.
• Helpful experience: dog behavior knowledge, training or handling skills, and comfort administering medications
