The Site Foreman supports daily construction operations by performing advanced field work and serving as a primary on site lead resource. This role is essential to maintaining safe, organized, and efficient job sites while supporting coordination of day to day field activities.
The Site Foreman works directly in the field performing hands on construction tasks while assisting with sequencing, site logistics, and workflow execution. This position does not include formal employee management responsibilities but carries elevated field accountability and serves as a trusted extension of site supervision.
This position requires strong technical competence, physical stamina, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing job site conditions in a fast paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform skilled construction work across multiple phases of the project with a high level of craftsmanship and productivity.
- Support daily coordination of site activities in alignment with Superintendent direction.
- Assist with layout, material staging, workflow sequencing, and field logistics.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with training and safety requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by properly handling materials, securing tools and equipment, and supporting daily cleanup.
- Monitor work areas for safety concerns and immediately communicate hazards, incidents, or near misses to site supervision.
- Support inspections, punch list activities, and closeout tasks as directed.
- Assist with securing the job site at the end of each workday.
- Travel out of town to work on remote job sites as directed by management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall project needs
- Previous experience in construction with demonstrated field leadership capability.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Proven reliability, sound judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to support team productivity without formal supervisory authority.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred or required within a specified timeframe.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites preferred.
