About the Role:

As a Material Handler II, you will play a critical role in supporting efficient material flow throughout the facility and yard by safely transporting, staging, unloading, and tracking lumber and materials needed for production and delivery operations. The pay starts at $24/ hour and goes up from there depending on experience. This position is responsible for operating forklifts, including a 150K-180K yard lift, as well as a transfer truck (semi-truck with a 40' flatbed trailer) to move materials throughout company property.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting a high-performing manufacturing team.

Material Handlers work closely with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery to our customers. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor (or appropriate department leader) and is an on-site position.

What You'll Do:
  • Safely operate forklifts to transport, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the facility.
  • Operate a transfer truck with a 40' flatbed trailer to transport lumber and materials between locations on company property.
  • Support production by delivering materials to the right place at the right time to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Perform accurate ERP transactions and inventory updates to maintain system integrity and inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct cycle counts, material verification, and discrepancy identification activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to support operational goals and customer commitments.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Job Requirements:

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate forklifts.
  • Ability to safely operate or become qualified to operate a transfer truck with a flatbed trailer on company property.
