Maintenance Technician; Swing Shift

Position Summary

Responsible to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair tire production related equipment and other production facility maintenance as required, and for daily operation and maintenance of the Les Schwab production machine shop. The role ensures quality standards are met while maintaining heightened safety awareness for self, team members and equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance inspection and services as directed.
• Log work and complete and turn in work orders weekly or as directed.
• Perform routine lubrication of plant mechanical equipment, including shafts, motor bearings, sprockets, drive chains, gears, and pulleys.
• Perform general, non‑specialized maintenance tasks related to plant and equipment.
• Perform simple maintenance on machines and equipment; take maintenance calls on floor and assist other maintenance personnel when handling maintenance calls.
• Perform general maintenance welding projects on machines, conveyors, and other equipment using arc, gas, or wire feed welders with safe trade practices.

• 2 years experience working in a machine shop or related industry.
• Acquire and maintain forklift, hot work, scissor lift, and Genie boom certification.
• Strong mechanical background, including ability to read blueprints.

• Regularly required to stand and be able to pull, push, lift, move, or transport product weighing up to 60 lbs without aid and up to 100+ lbs with the aid of a forklift.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and grasp.
• Must be able to talk or hear regularly, and have close, distance and focus adjustment vision.

Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including temperature extremes. Warehouse conditions may expose employees to varying weather conditions.
