Straight Line Customs Inc is looking for a passionate and skilled Classic Car Auto Mechanic to join our team in Prior Lake, MN. Responsibilities:- Diagnose, repair, and restore classic and vintage vehicles to factory or custom specifications
- Perform engine upgrades, tune-ups, and mechanical overhauls on antique and classic automobiles
- Inspect and repair classic car brake systems, suspension, steering, and drivetrain components
- Fabricate or source hard-to-find parts for vintage vehicle restoration projects
- Collaborate with customers to understand restoration goals and provide expert mechanical recommendations
- Document repair and restoration work accurately, including parts used and labor performed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic, with a strong focus on classic or vintage vehicle restoration
- Deep knowledge of older mechanical systems, carburetors, points ignition, and period-correct components
- Ability to read and interpret vintage automotive schematics and service manuals
- Experience with fabrication, welding, or custom parts sourcing is a strong plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Genuine passion for classic cars and automotive history
- Must supply own tools
