Physical Education & Health Teacher (.FTE

St. Michael Catholic School in Prior Lake is seeking to hire an additional Physical Education and Health Teacher (.4 FTE, 2 days per week) to join its team of dedicated, collaborative, and experienced educators. • Plan, prepare and deliver thoughtful and effective lessons that engage PS-Grade 8 students in meaningful learning, while recognizing individual learning needs.
• Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning which supports St. Michael’s mission and provides optimal learning opportunities.
• Maintain an open line of communication with parents, students, colleagues, principal and all stakeholders around academics, behavior, safety, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues in grade level departments and throughout school to develop and implement positive behavior expectations and relationships.
• Contribute to faith community of school through personal modeling and active participation, such as conducting prayer, participation in religious celebrations, and teaching Catholic values through word and example.
• Maintain appropriate and safe conduct in the classroom and throughout the campus ensuring student safety and supervision at all times.
• Be present, ready to work and on time to meet all schedules and responsibilities.
