RATE OF PAY: $18.18 - $20.66 per hour (2025-26 rate), Category A
Terms of employment per the Minnesota School Employees Association Non-Certified Student Support Personnel (MSEA) collective bargaining agreement.
SUMMARYTo supervise and support students during lunch periods by monitoring behavior, enforcing safety rules, assisting with conflict resolution, and ensuring a safe, orderly, and positive lunchroom environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.
Supervise and monitor students during lunch periods and related transitions to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment.
- Monitor student behavior and assist students in resolving conflicts in the lunchroom.
- Enforce school rules, expectations, and all safety procedures during lunch periods.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly lunchroom by supporting appropriate student conduct and routines.
- Monitor student movement and time to ensure classes return to instructional areas on time.
- Assist students who are injured or ill during lunch periods and seek additional help as needed.
- Report safety concerns, accidents, or unusual situations to the building principal or designated supervisor.
- Support the building principal in establishing and reinforcing appropriate lunchroom expectations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with district policies and procedures.
- Promote positive interactions, teamwork, and respectful communication with students, staff, and administrators.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED
At least 18 years of age.
Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsContinued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
