Primary Job Duties

• Manages slot operations to ensure excellent guest service. Resolves difficult guest service concerns, including payment disputes in accordance with department guidelines.
• Ensures that all policies and procedures are properly and consistently followed to ensure the safeguarding of company assets. Reviews all policies and procedures and makes recommendations. Acts in accordance to regulatory compliance through the monitoring and reporting of Title 31.
• Evaluates staffing levels and schedules staff, adjusting or requests additional staffing as needed. Reviews weekly payroll including edits and PTO approval.
• Lead team of direct reports with responsibility to interview, select, hire, promote, train and develop. Complete performance appraisals on direct reports. Conduct disciplinary actions up to termination.
• Trains, motivates and develops team members. Observes first hand interactions with internal and external guests and coaches to achieve outstanding performance.
• Directly services guests, including paying, authorizing and verifying jackpots and short pays. Establishes relationships with guests through regular guest interactions.

Occasional Tasks:

• Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Casino Manager.
• May include other guest service functions relative to the efficient operation of the casino based on licensing constraints.
• Authorizes and issues complimentaries
• Ensures that business needs are communicated among all service areas.
• Assists with oversight and direction of casino beverage service in absence of restaurant management.
• Acts as signatory as defined in asset control procedures.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School graduate or GED.
• Five years of Casino Operations experience, three years of which is in a Slot supervisory or management capacity. Preferred experience in a dual rate manager capacity in a Slot Operations department.
• Skill in practical problem solving applicable to machine technical functions and guest service recovery.
• Self-guided leader, creative, responsible, high-energy, eager to work with other departments and independently.
  Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Willingness to actively contribute in an array of projects as requested; eager to learn new skills.
