Senior Maintenance Worker

Overview

Pay: $21/hour

This part-time position will primarily be assisting with maintenance needs in Chaska, Bloomington, Prior Lake, and Rosemount.

As a Senior Maintenance Worker, you will provide maintenance and repair services for multiple residential homes. You will:

• Inspect properties, including furniture and appliances, to identify needed repairs and determine whether a repair should be done in-house or by an outside service person.
• Assess and determine the best course of action for ongoing repairs.
• Provide or arrange lawn care and snow removal, purchase tools, supplies, parts and small equipment, and perform or arrange seasonal maintenance.
• Remove storm windows, clear rain gutters, check and replace furnace/air conditioner/air exchanger filters, clean air vents, maintain sump pumps and smoke detectors, and service other household equipment.
• Maintain and service program vehicles; arrange for outside maintenance and repairs when appropriate.
• Obtain bids for capital improvements to program properties and complete necessary documentation such as maintenance checklists, mileage reimbursement, work orders, purchases/receipts, and purchase card reviews.
• Ensure all tasks are completed with appreciation that properties are homes to people with disabilities.

• A minimum of 4 years' experience in electrical, mechanical, and preventative maintenance; may be obtained in trade or draft areas.
• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a Motor Vehicle Check.
• Successfully meet the requirements of a background check.
• Computer skills that support LSS technology.
