Maintenance Mechanic (Water Bottling) – Built for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) – Prior Lake, MN
Job OverviewLead and perform preventative maintenance and repair on water bottling equipment. Diagnose and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate operation. Perform production‑line tasks as needed.
Responsibilities- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, documenting all repairs and usage.
- Use technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment and determine whether repair or replacement is required.
- Install hardware components and other maintenance tasks, training staff on proper use and minor repairs.
- Support production line activities, including quality control, bottling, folding boxes, pallet loading, and occasional moving or cleaning duties.
- Combination of education in equipment/maintenance or equivalent field experience, totaling at least four years.
- Basic knowledge of schematic prints related to manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment.
- Industrial truck driving permit (forklift) required or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Physical ability to stand full time, lift up to 75 lbs., and perform actions such as bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and pushing.
- Maintain safety while handling potential fumes, chemicals, odors, and noise.
