Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by providing essential support as a contract social worker. This opportunity, located near Prior Lake, MN, offers a meaningful role working Wednesday through Friday from August 31, 2026, through December 22, 2026. You'll collaborate with both educators and families to foster a supportive academic environment and address the social and emotional needs of young learners.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in school-based, healthcare, or child-focused social work settings. Your background working within educational environments, particularly at the elementary level, will be especially valuable. Strong communication skills, compassion, and adaptability are key for success in this role.

Qualifications and

Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a social worker
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric healthcare, or community-based environment
  • Understanding of child development and age-appropriate therapeutic interventions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and community resources
  • Familiarity with case management, crisis intervention, and group facilitation
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and counseling to students on social, behavioral, and emotional concerns
  • Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
  • Help identify and address barriers to academic success
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
  • Connect families with community resources and support services
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate for all students
