Buckingham, an LJP Company, is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Swing Driver (Class B CDL) to provide route coverage and operational support across multiple service areas. This position plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted service by filling in on assigned routes as needed and safely transporting waste and recyclable materials from customer locations to designated disposal and recycling facilities.

The Swing Driver will report to and operate from two locations:
St. Louis Park, MN and Prior Lake, MN. The ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable learning multiple routes while maintaining compliance with all CDL regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

• Collect residential waste, municipal solid waste (MSW), and recyclable materials along assigned routes
• Provide route coverage for drivers who are absent, on vacation, or when additional operational support is needed
• Safely operate commercial waste and recycling vehicles across multiple service areas
• Potentially operate roll-off routes depending on experience and operational needs
• Transport collected materials to designated landfill and recycling facilities
• Perform assigned routes in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles
• Communicate with Route Managers upon completion of assigned routes
• Follow assigned route schedules and ensure all designated stops are serviced accurately
• Attend monthly safety meetings and actively participate in safety initiatives
• Support route efficiency improvements by providing feedback and operational recommendations
• Maintain professionalism and safe driving practices at all times
• Adapt to changing route assignments and reporting locations as business needs require

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain route schedules
• Ability to report to both St. Louis Park and Prior Lake locations
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

• Previous route driving or waste industry experience
• Experience operating commercial waste or recycling vehicles
• Experience learning and managing multiple service routes

• Driving: 3 years (Preferred)
• Commercial Driving: 3 years (Preferred)
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• Valid DOT Medical Card (Required)
