Job Summary
Rivers Edge is a family‑owned business partnering construction projects across the upper Midwest. We are hiring a Ready‑Mix Driver to deliver ready‑mixed concrete and associated products to construction sites.
Responsibilities- Perform pre‑trip inspection of the ready‑mix truck in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Fill the water tank before each delivery and ensure all valves are shut.
- Receive delivery tickets and charge the mixer for concrete, including any required admixtures.
- Safely drive the truck to the job site and arrive with the desired slump within customer or job specifications.
- Maneuver the truck on uneven or unstable ground conditions.
- Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemicals, foam admixtures, cements, or integral colors at the plant or job site.
- Place chutes from the fender or hanging rack onto the main chute for discharge.
- After discharge, wash the chutes in the washout system and return them to their proper location.
- Complete all required paperwork, collect payment, and secure cash‑on‑delivery funds.
- Wash the truck at the end of each shift using hose, brush, and cleaning solution as needed.
- Communicate with dispatch via two‑way radio and use the truck‑status signaling system.
- Perform post‑trip inspection and submit all paperwork and COD envelopes.
- Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company while resolving problems and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or
B. - Pass federal Department of Transportation drug screen, physical, and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to safely operate a large truck in accordance with company policy and state and federal laws.
- Willingness to work up to 10+ hour days, including overtime and Saturday shifts as required.
Competitive hourly rate: $34.20‑$38.00 per hour.
