NAFI Connecticut Residential Operations Manager

NAFI Connecticut provides programs, consultation, and support services in a variety of settings across Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island. We work with adults, children, and families to increase communication and social skills, improve relationships, increase circles of support, and provide therapeutic services based on best-practice research. We believe that people can change, and we work to empower each individual in their own care.

We are currently seeking an experienced residential professional ready to take the next step into program leadership. The Residential Operations Manager will split their time between two therapeutic group homes in New Britain and Prospect, CT, serving adolescent and young adult males ages 13-21. This role supports the day-to-day operations of both homes, with a strong focus on maintaining a positive, therapeutic milieu, developing residential staff and supervisors, and ensuring consistent, high-quality program operations.

Our youth receive residential, clinical, and nursing services while attending school and participating in activities in the community.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain a visible leadership presence and help promote a positive, structured, and therapeutic culture across both homes
  • Support, coach, and develop Shift Supervisors and direct-care staff
  • Assist with staff scheduling, coverage, onboarding, and training
  • Provide supervisor coverage during vacations, absences, and vacancies as needed
  • Promote consistency in residential routines, staff expectations, documentation, and shift-to-shift communication
  • Work collaboratively with residential, clinical, nursing, and program/agency leadership
  • Help ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing requirements, regulations, and quality standards
  • Identify operational or staffing challenges and help develop practical solutions

Salary/Hourly Rate: $58,000 per year
