Overview

CPI-Cummins Allison is seeking a talented and motivated Field Service Data Analyst to support our Field Service Operation. This critical role will involve utilizing data generated through our field service organization to create clear dashboards and valuable insights that will contribute to improving the quality of our service business. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Qlik reporting skills, along with a passion for data analysis and a desire to drive continuous improvement within our service operations.

Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including field service reports, customer feedback, and equipment performance data, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Dashboard Development: Create visually appealing and user‑friendly dashboards and reports using data visualization tools or software to provide actionable insights for the field service team and management.
  • KPI Tracking: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of field service operations. Regularly report on KPIs and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate service‑related issues, customer complaints, and equipment failures to identify root causes and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with field service managers and technicians to streamline service processes, enhance service delivery, and reduce operational costs.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data validation checks and quality control procedures.

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with other departments, including IT, Sales, and Customer Support, to gather and share insights that drive overall business improvement.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
    • Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably in a field service or related industry.
    • Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
    • Strong expertise in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
    • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Experience working with large datasets and database management.
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
    • Familiarity with maintenance management systems or CRM software.
    • Project management skills and experience.
