Description Summary
This position is responsible for assisting our business administrators and executive team in financial management of the Agency. Duties include performance reporting, cash flow management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, responsibility for client accounts, department licensing requirements, DSS and SS reporting, and maintenance of payroll and HR records. This position requires a broad knowledge of general accounting practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned.
Work cooperatively with Agency personnel, families, and other agencies in providing and implementing the Agency’s mission.
Communicate effectively, professionally, and respectfully to all clients, Agency staff, and community and outside Agency personnel.
Requirements COMPETENCIESProficient in MSOffice, Word, Excel, Power Point, Agency accounting/agency software and the Internet.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to work independently with little supervision. Must have training in office procedures and use of office equipment. Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing; pleasant telephone manner; able to think on feet when dealing with callers;
possesses service oriented “can do” approach to work. Must have superior organizational skills and accuracy. Excellent problem solving and people skills also required.
Bachelor’s degree or High School or equivalent Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, families, regulatory agencies, and other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to perform, basic mathematic skills, the ability to analyze figures, knowledge of accounting principles.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
