QUALIFICATIONS:- Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative, operational, and customer service support for multiple work units, including experience using business or work management software.
- Experience in park operations, recreation, public administration, budgeting, or a closely related area.
- Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, Public Administration, or related field, preferred.
- One (2) year administrative experience, preferred.
- Two (2) years in Park Operations, Recreation, Public Administration, with Budget exposure.
- Must pass MVR check.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
- State of Texas Irrigator License and/or Certified Arborist credential preferred.
The Parks Business and Operations Coordinator supports the Parks and Recreation department’s business operations, maintenance activities, and service delivery through budget administration, research, data analysis, and customer service initiatives. Coordinates the review and tracking of operational requests, monitors active work assignments, and maintains effective communication using work management software and other communication resources. Provides administrative and operational support for internal and external, departmental coordination and service delivery.
Oversee the general proactive maintenance plan for public facilities and Town-maintained medians.
