Part-Time STEM Instructor; Coding & Robotics

Job Summary

Ho2 Academy is seeking a passionate and engaging Part-Time STEM Instructor to lead our Coding and Robotics Tech Lab program for students ages 8–16. The instructor will teach structured coding lessons on Tuesdays and hands‑on robotics workshops on Wednesdays in a small‑group setting (maximum 9 students per cohort). The ideal candidate enjoys mentoring youth and can confidently teach foundational coding (Scratch, Python, or Web Development basics) and introductory robotics (LEGO, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).

• Teach structured coding curriculum (Scratch, Python, Web Development basics).
• Lead hands‑on robotics workshops (LEGO Robotics, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
• Guide students through coding projects and robotics builds.
• Facilitate final showcase/demo night presentations.

• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
• Support students with debugging and problem‑solving.
• Adapt teaching approach for different age groups.

• Prepare weekly lesson plans and materials.
• Set up and manage robotics equipment safely.
• Ensure proper storage and maintenance of equipment.

• Supervise students at all times during sessions.
• Follow Ho2 Academy policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional and safe learning environment.

• Experience teaching or mentoring youth.
• Basic proficiency in Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS, LEGO Robotics, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.

• STEM degree or pursuing degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Education.
• Experience with robotics competitions (FTC, VEX, FIRST).

$40–$60 per hour (based on experience).

Approximately 6 hours per week with potential expansion opportunities.

Part‑Time (Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 4:15 PM – 7:45 PM)
