Student Observers And Clinical Teachers

As emerging members of the professional teaching community, student observers and clinical teachers are expected to uphold the high standards of Prosper ISD. Upon entering the campus, you should transition into a role of professional responsibility. To ensure a successful placement, please adhere to the following:

• Knowledge of Policy: Acquaint yourself with the Faculty Handbook and school calendar to understand the rules governing your specific campus, and to ensure your actions align with school procedures.
• Professionalism & Boundaries: Present a professional image (dress, conduct, and communication) and maintain a clear distinction between yourself and the students you serve. It is essential to establish clear professional boundaries, recognizing your role as a mentor and educator rather than a peer to the students.
• Reliability: Honor all time commitments and deadlines with strict punctuality.
• Mentorship: Proactively seek and implement feedback from your cooperating teacher and program supervisor.
