Teacher Visually Impaired; TVI Prosper, Texas

• Valid teaching credential with endorsement or certification in Visual Impairments
• Familiarity with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and adaptive devices
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with visual needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Creative problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and a student-centered mindset
• Previous experience as a Visually Impaired Teacher in school settings preferred

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum to ensure accessibility and meaningful engagement
• Assess students individual needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments
• Train staff and students on the use of assistive technology, orientation and mobility techniques, and other adaptive tools
• Advocate for accommodations, modifications, and resources that support student success
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation, adjusting plans as needed
