Role Description The Certified Medical Assistant will support daily clinical operations in a full-time, on-site role located in Prosper, TX. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking and recording vital signs, assisting providers with examinations and procedures, and administering medications and injections as directed. The role also involves managing patient intake and triage, updating electronic medical records, coordinating referrals, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide patient education, support front-desk workflows as needed, maintain clinical supplies, and uphold infection control and safety standards to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including vital signs, clinical procedures, and direct support of providers.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document clinical information.
  • Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office setting, including scheduling support, workflow coordination, and basic administrative tasks.
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Patient Care, with a focus on empathy, professionalism, and culturally sensitive communication.
  • Candidates should possess experience handling Medical Records, including electronic health records, documentation accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from an accredited program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
  • Prior experience in family medicine or primary care is preferred but not required.
