Position OverviewRMTA Law Group is seeking a part‑time Litigation Associate Attorney to support and lead aspects of active litigation matters. This role is fully remote and ideal for a self‑starter who can take the lead in courtroom appearances, depositions and case progression, while also producing excellent written work. You will work closely with firm leadership and have direct client‑facing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and edit pleadings, motions, briefs and other legal documents with strong attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research and apply it strategically to litigation and dispute‑resolution planning.
- Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and related motions.
- Prepare for and take depositions
, including witness preparation and deposition outlines. - Handle hearings and other court appearances as needed; support trial preparation and trial proceedings.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and provide clear, practical guidance.
- Manage assigned matters efficiently and independently, meeting deadlines and driving cases forward.
- J.D. from an accredited law school, licensed and in good standing in Texas.
- 2+ years of litigation experience (business/commercial litigation preferred).
- Meaningful deposition and courtroom/hearing experience (must be comfortable taking the lead).
- Strong legal writing, research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills with clients, opposing counsel and the court.
- Highly organized, responsive and able to manage deadlines in a remote environment.
- Self‑directed and accountable—able to identify next steps and execute without heavy oversight.
- Fully remote role with a collaborative, client‑focused team.
