Job Summary
Responsible for all marketing and sales, installation and service of Kent Moore Cabinets, Ltd. custom-built cabinetry within a region.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide guidance, leadership and direction for all employees in the region.
- Direct supervision of sales, service personnel, and office staff.
- Work through HR staff for hiring, disciplining, and discharging.
- Maintain GPs in accordance with company goals.
- Oversight of all work done by installers/subcontractors.
- Approve installer pay and extra service pay.
- Oversee accounts receivables/collections.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships.
- Make presentations to new customers.
- Prospect, develop, and close on leads for new accounts.
- Grow sales with existing customers and gain new customers.
- Maintain acceptable error rate of no more than 1% total and less than .25% for work orders.
- Maintain ongoing image, which will benefit KMC, employees, and customers.
- Measure design, order, and schedule jobs as needed to fill in for sales personnel.
- Oversee all necessary paperwork for office and builder books.
- Assure quality of work.
- Maintain a safe work environment, enforce safety standards and advance safety training.
- Develop and implement training plans for new employees.
- Walk jobs in the field to verify performance of personnel and products.
- Maintain and improve morale of employees.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor or corporate guidelines.
- Travel to and from customer locations to make sales visits.
- Complete forms and other necessary paperwork.
- Be aware of surroundings and location of items needed.
- Perform various job duties, including listening to the needs of customers in person and over the telephone.
- Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, subordinates, and customers, both over the phone and in person.
- Stand and walk several hours or more per day; sit for several hours or more per day; sometimes lift and carry heavy objects; bend, stretch, reach, and twist while performing duties of the job.
- Use fingers to operate telephone, grasp and use writing implements, operate calculator and computer, use tape measure and perform other job duties.
- Remain mentally alert and capable of remembering faces, names, oral instructions and details.
- Identify and report hazards immediately to avoid injury.
- Minimum high school diploma.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years in the cabinet business.
- Computer knowledge and ability to learn cabinet programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years outside sales and customer service experience.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make correct judgment calls.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
