Overview

RN Endoscopy Lab – Medical City Dallas. Full Time, Days, Monday - Friday. Call is Required.

• Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on patient care and workflow improvements.
• On-call is required during select non-business hours.

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education regarding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy (briefing, time-out, debriefing, universal protocols).
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (providers, surgeons, surgical technologists, and more).
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout the shift, and document changes and care provided.
• Educate patients and families about the medical condition, treatment, and follow-up measures.

• ACLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse). Associate Degree required; BSN preferred.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
