We are generally hiring for year round Kennel Technicians! This is the primary position in which we employ. They work directly with the dogs taking care of their needs in daycare and boarding. We are like a second family here at Bliss, we place a large emphasis on a positive team working environment and providing the best possible service to our 4 and 2 legged customers.

We here at Bliss are looking to hire 2-4 Kennel Technicians. You do not need any previous experience, just a positive attitude, are hard‑working, have a good work ethic, good time management, and welcome feedback to grow! We train the right candidates on the main necessary skill of reading dog body language. This position is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about managing dog behavior and obedience of dogs.

The chosen candidate will be working directly with our dog daycare groups for 2-3 hours each shift and our boarding/kenneled dogs before and after daycare. We aren’t looking for just anyone who wants a job, but those who are passionate about animals and can see themselves growing in responsibility and leadership over the next 1+ years with us.

Hours: Monday‑Sunday 6:30am‑12:30pm and/or 1:45pm‑7:00pm

About Us: Bliss Pet Resort and Spa is Prosper’s first and only luxury dog boarding and doggy daycare center. We just completed a renovation to include beautiful new dog turf, new fencing, and a fancy bone‑shaped pool for the dogs! If you love animals and are willing to work hard and commit to providing excellent customer service to our guests and their owners.

Seeking to hire part‑time team members, (full‑time special consideration with experience only) flexible availability is preferred 7 days a week. Shifts vary between 4‑6 hours and some days you may be asked to work two shifts with a one and a half‑hour lunch in between. (The first shift runs from 6:30‑12:30 pm and the second shift is from 1:45‑7:30
-the ideal candidate has the availability to work either shift.) Must be open to working all holidays and weekends as those are our busy times.

Daily tasks include:

• Providing engagement and supervision for dogs in playgroups up to 15‑20 dogs for 2‑3 hours a shift
• Facilitating daily care for dogs in boarding (including feeding, administering medication, taking out for walks and potty breaks, among other tasks)
• Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs
• Maintaining cleanliness of our play yards and facility
• Minimizing the stress of the dogs in our care by providing effective management and being responsive to their needs
• Maintaining accurate records and activity logs for the care provided
• Working as a member of a team in a fast‑paced environment by using effective communication skills

This position is ideal for someone with a love for dogs and a desire to work in a fun, fast‑paced environment.

The ideal candidate:

• is a high school graduate (or has their GED)
• has excellent written and oral communication skills
• is self‑motivated and can work independently
• has a proven ability to follow instructions and learn new things
• takes initiative on the job
• is able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be on one’s feet for long periods of time
• has 2 years previous work experience demonstrating dependability
• (preferably) has worked with dogs or animals in the past

Salary: $10.00 hour (training) with level increases
