Position OverviewThe Emergency Veterinarian will provide immediate, comprehensive care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency and critical conditions. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy high-acuity medicine, teamwork with specialists, and a supportive ER culture.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and manage emergency and critical care cases including trauma and acute illness
- Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
- Perform emergency procedures (CPR, airway management, stabilization, wound care)
- Administer medications and advanced supportive care
- Collaborate closely with specialists and fellow ER clinicians
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Abdominal and cardiac ultrasound experience is a strong plus
- Ability to perform ER surgeries preferred
- DVM or VMD degree
- Rotating internship or equivalent ER experience preferred
- Strong emergency and critical care clinical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to perform under pressure
