We are seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our headquarters team in Providence, RI. This is a high‑visibility role offering significant exposure to leadership, technical accounting, and organizational impact.
Responsibilities- Oversee and execute the full accounting cycle, including GL maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, accruals, and month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
- Ensure all accounting activities are performed accurately and in accordance with established timelines.
- Prepare and review timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Deliver analytical insights and financial commentary to support strategic decision‑making by the executive team.
- Lead and support complex technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition, leases, and other emerging standards.
- Prepare, maintain, and update technical accounting memoranda and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Act as the primary day‑to‑day liaison with external auditors during annual audits and reviews.
- Provide requested documentation, explanations, and support to auditors and external stakeholders.
- Strengthen and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.
- Develop, document, and update accounting policies and procedures to meet evolving standards and best practices.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to members of the accounting team.
- Serve as an in‑house technical accounting resource, promoting a culture of collaboration, learning, and high performance.
- Leverage accounting systems and tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to drive scalability, accuracy, and productivity.
- CPA preferred

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance - 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or a public/private mix
- (Professional services industry experience strongly preferred)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP
, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls - Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos and handling complex accounting areas
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non‑financial stakeholders
- Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable thriving in a growing, fast‑paced environment
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
