Our client is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Controller to support our growing national footprint and lead the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will oversee all core accounting functions, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and play a key role in strengthening internal controls and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and committed to developing and mentoring a high-performing accounting team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review internal financial statements; assist the CFO with consolidated reporting across multiple locations.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis and insights.
  • Oversee all core accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
  • Ensure proper accruals, reconciliations, and documentation to maintain strong accounting hygiene.
  • Manage day-to-day cash flow reporting in coordination with the CFO.
  • Assist with technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, capital vs. operating expenses, and other GAAP issues.
  • Support the preparation of technical memos and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies across all departments.
  • Act as a primary liaison with external auditors during annual audits or periodic reviews.
  • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Strengthen the internal control environment and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Standardize processes across locations as CCK grows its nationwide footprint.
  • Partner with the CFO to streamline systems, tools, and accounting workflows.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team members receive appropriate training and development in both technical and soft skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
    ; CPA is required
  • 5+ years of Accounting Leadership experience
    , including public accounting or a public/private mix.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
    , internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
  • Proven experience leading accounting functions within a growing or multi-location business is a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting matters to operational leaders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and mentor team members.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
