Part-Time Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Providence, Rhode Island. In this role, you will manage essential financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and experience using Quick Books.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

- Submit payroll data to the payroll company in a timely manner.

- Issue checks to vendors and other stakeholders as needed.

- Monitor and report on cash flow to support financial planning.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.

- Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies or resolve accounting issues.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a part-time or contract role.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and other accounting software.

- Strong knowledge of managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes.

- Ability to monitor and report on cash flow effectively.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.

- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
