Soni’s client is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP team and oversee the full invoice-to-pay process. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on leader who enjoys building strong processes, ensuring accuracy, and driving efficiency within a growing organization.

Reporting to finance leadership, this individual will manage day‑to‑day AP operations, support close activities, and partner cross‑functionally to improve workflows and maintain strong internal controls. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, and a process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team
  • Oversee high-volume invoice processing and approval workflows
  • Ensure accurate 2‑way and 3‑way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
  • Manage payment cycles including ACH, wire, check, and virtual cards
  • Monitor AP aging and ensure timely vendor payments
  • Review and approve journal entries related to AP
  • Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end close activities for AP
  • Establish and enforce internal controls and company policies
  • Handle escalations and resolve complex vendor issues
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance to streamline processes
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance
  • Identify and implement automation and system improvements
Requirements of the Accounts Payable Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
  • 2–4+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a high‑volume or fast‑paced environment
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration experience
Compensation:

$95,000 – $110,000

Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
