Staff Accountant

Our client, a growing Rhode Island-based organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to continue building hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Support preparation of financial statements
• Maintain accounting schedules and documentation
• Assist with audits and internal reporting
• Identify and help implement process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
