Controller – Manufacturing & Precious Metals
Salary: $130,000-$180,000 + 15% Annual Bonus
Providence, RI/ Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Are you a seasoned Manufacturing Controller with expertise in precious metal accounting, inventory management, and cost accounting
? We're seeking a strategic finance leader to oversee financial operations, drive continuous improvement, and partner with executive leadership to support a growing manufacturing organization.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on Controller who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has experience managing high-value precious metal inventory.
What You'll Do- Lead all financial and accounting operations for a manufacturing business.
- Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controls.
- Manage precious metal inventory processing, reconciliation, and refining financial oversight.
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Metals Analyst teams while developing and mentoring staff.
- Direct month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing performance and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support audit and compliance activities.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations to improve profitability, efficiency, and business performance.
- Utilize ERP systems and business intelligence tools to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
- Required:
Experience with
precious metals inventory, processing, refining, or other high-value commodity materials. - Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, 4D, or other Tier-1 platforms.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI or similar data analysis/reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
