Tax Manager

Description Kforce's client, a successful regional professional services company in Rhode Island, is in search of a Tax Manager.

• Prepare and review all types of tax returns (including trusts) of varying complexities
• Prepare and review underlying tax work papers
• Perform tax research on client tax matters and provide technical recommendations
• Train and mentor staff accountants
• Assist in client tax planning and business advisory
• Communicate appropriately with clients, providing excellent service and quick turnaround
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Preferred:
  Certified Public Accountant or actively studying and preparing for CPA certification
• 8+ years of experience working for a certified public accounting firm
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Professional, driven, and self-motivated
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with others on tasks to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency
