Job SummaryThe Providence Center Promail Production Mail and Printing Assistant will organize, coordinate and help process all printing/mailing projects to meet customers/department timelines.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assemble mailings or fulfillment projects; may participate in hand assembly or supervise assembly that may include folding, inserting, tabbing, sealing, affixing postage, matching names and addresses on personalized mailings, collating, stapling, etc.
- Identify behaviors and work habits that interfere with work performance and report to supervisor.
- Continually evaluate and assess Promail employees' ability to perform tasks, quality of work and productivity to help workers develop obtainable goals and standards.
- Coordinate daily orders for all mailing and printing projects using Promail and CNE Printing Systems, including capacity planning, pricing, and employee capacity; adjust workflow to meet demands.
- Maintain proficiency with postal rules and regulations.
- Process customer files using Excel, Microsoft Word, Bulk Mailer, and Mail Shop.
- Proficiently use industry software and equipment; run equipment or assign employees to run equipment with proper supervision.
- Analyze and make recommendations to management regarding time studies and future costing of jobs.
- Provide job coaching and support services to Pro Mail employees.
- Monitor needs of business, including supplies, equipment maintenance, and employee requirements.
- Develop and foster positive relations with customers, post office, and CNE contacts for all mailing and printing projects.
- Maintain quality standards; all assembly must meet customer specifications.
- Communicate with supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Stand while working if required.
- Accept feedback from supervisor and make corrections when necessary.
- Follow directions and ask necessary questions.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, and attend all mandatory in-service trainings as required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Computer knowledge required; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Trustworthy, reliable, with good communication and mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to detect problems with work materials.
- Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 lbs.
- Moderate physical activity.
- Required to handle average-weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking.
- Noise level usually moderate and occasionally loud.
