Job Description

The Administrative Lab Coordinator is responsible for managing operational needs for Neuroscience. The role supports all of the Neuroscience Department’s shared research equipment and collaborates with facilities on space updates and issues. Responsibilities include leading the space audit and biannual inventory, processing key and card access requests, ensuring compliance with lab safety protocols and Traincaster, maintaining the department website with events and information, assisting with the annual NSGP recruitment and other events, and providing administrative support to the department manager and chair as needed.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree with 2‑3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies
  • Ability to effectively organize information, produce spreadsheets, generate Google calendars, send and track emails, and track data.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse group of people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Careful planning, attention to detail, and reliable execution of assigned responsibilities.
