About This Position

Hope Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Administrative Assistant for its affiliate Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence, RI. The Administrative Assistant provides a positive, warm, calm and competent image and assistance in the coordination and support of patient care delivery. The Administrative Assistant is a liaison between the patient, the caregiving staff, other internal and external departments and the billing department, supporting all three with comprehensive chart management and communications between parties to ensure seamless care.

This is a part‑time, 24 hrs per week, position that is eligible for benefits. The hours are 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

What will you do?
  • Provide information to callers or route calls to appropriate personnel, take messages or relate information in a confidential, accurate, timely and professional manner.
  • Order, cancel and change DME supplies as required by team staff.
  • Maintain and distribute daily census, maintain patient tracking board, create charts for incoming patients and interact with families, vendors, MDs, RNs and entire IDG staff to support patient care.
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation is complete and accurate before scanning into the patient chart in the EMR.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma plus additional specialized training.
  • Associate’s degree or graduate of a secretarial school program preferred.
  • Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
