The Service Advisor is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Johnston, RI. This role is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle service needs, and clearly explaining recommended maintenance and repairs. The Service Advisor coordinates service appointments, prepares repair orders, communicates with technicians, and keeps customers updated on service status and costs. Day‑to‑day tasks include reviewing vehicle histories, ensuring accurate documentation, managing aftersales follow‑up, and promoting additional services that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
The position requires maintaining a clean and professional service environment, resolving customer concerns promptly, and supporting overall service department goals.
- Strong customer‑focused service skills, including Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer‑focused Service.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members.
- Understanding of Aftersales processes, including service follow‑up, maintenance scheduling, and warranty or service plan support.
- Prior experience in automotive service advising, dealership operations, or a similar customer‑facing role is preferred.
- Ability to work on‑site full time in Providence, RI, managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic technical understanding of automotive services and maintenance, with willingness to learn dealership systems and tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in automotive or customer service are a plus.
