The EH&S Coordinator will support the environmental, health, and safety programs across the campus. This role focuses on assisting with compliance activities, maintaining safety documentation, coordinating training, and supporting day‑to‑day environmental and safety initiatives. The Coordinator will work under the guidance of the EH&S Manager or campus leadership to help maintain a safe and compliant environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
* Associate degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
* 1-3 years of experience in EH&S, facilities, laboratory support, or related fields preferred.
* Basic knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards and general safety practices.
* Strong organizational skills and comfort maintaining documentation and compliance logs.
* Ability to collaborate with diverse campus stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* On‑site presence Monday-Friday required.
Day to Day Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy campus environment across academic, residential, athletic, and administrative buildings.
* Support sustainability efforts such as recycling, waste reduction, and energy‑saving initiatives.
* Participate in routine inspections of labs, dormitories, athletic facilities, and work spaces.
* Assist in hazard identification and recommend mitigation strategies.
Compliance & Documentation
* Help maintain compliance documentation such as OSHA logs, chemical inventories, training records, and safety inspection reports.
* Support environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste pickup coordination, chemical storage updates, and stormwater/wastewater documentation.
* Assist with incident reporting and collection of information for root‑cause review by leadership.
Training & Awareness
* Coordinate EH&S training sessions for ABM employees and campus partners.
* Maintain training schedules and attendance logs.
* Support safety awareness campaigns and student/faculty engagement initiatives.
Emergency Preparedness
* Assist with the implementation of emergency response procedures, including chemical spill response support.
* Help coordinate practice drills with campus safety teams and local emergency responders.
